In my previous post, I mentioned that I used multiple ways to keep track of my wardrobe.
Each of my wardrobe trackers has its goods and bads, so I thought it could be interesting to review it and maybe help you choose.
Here are the five different apps/websites I use to keep track of my wardrobe
- Lolibrary
- Google slide
- Airtable
- Open wardrobe
1- Lolibrary
Lolibrary is often the first thing that comes to mind to track your wardrobe. I also think this is the worst one.
What I like about Lolibrary is that all the useful informations are easily accessible (such as release date, fabric, themes, etc.).
But a lot of items are missing (indie brands, handmade, taobao), and even if you can upload these data yourself, I don't think you should for various reasons. So Lolibrary is a good choice if you own burando only, not so much in other cases. I'm also quite annoyed by the fact that you can't choose the picture you want to use so your wardrobe always displays the wrong colourway.
I really think Lolibrary's best use is to be linked to your items in your tracking app. This way you still have everything easily accessible, without any of Lolibrary inconvenient.
Pros :
- Everything you need to know
- Easy to use
- One of the biggest lolita database
- Easy to share with friends (after you made it visible)
Cons :
- A lot of stuff isn't there
- Not good for handmade lolita
- You can't choose the cover picture
- You can't filter your wardrobe (to only see dresses for exemple)
- Hard to plan a coord without using another app

2- Pinterest
I've been using Pinterest since I started tracking my wardrobe. To be honest, I didn't use to track that much when I first started lolita (11 years ago!) as I didn't have a lot of items, and I was trying to make anything I could find into something loliable. Back then Taobao wasn't really a thing, and finding affordable blouses, cardigans and shoes was really such a pain.....
I used Pinterest for my main pieces only and this is still pretty much how I use it.

Pros :
- Easy to share with friends
- Inserting links to lolibrary is easy
- Easy to upload pics from other websites
- Can be used on browser and phone
Cons :
- I find it a bit tedious to upload new pins from scratch (for handmade pieces for exemple)
- Hard to plan a coord without using another app
- Not pretty

3- Slides
Slides has been my main way to organise everything. I love that it's fully customisable, easy to share, fast to create and modify, and more importantly how easy it is to plan new coords with it.
Pros :
- Easy to share with friends (after you made it accessible with a link)
- Inserting links to lolibrary is easy
- Easy to modify and update
- Fully customizable
Cons :
- Not great to keep track of trivia about the pieces (release date, size, themes, etc.)
- Only on computer (the app is trash)

4- Airtable
Airtable is perfect to keep track of trivias. I treat it pretty much like my own lolibrary, entering release date, main and secondary colours, fabrics, lace types, themes, etc. I really like the fact that I can then easily sort everything using these criterias.
You could use sheets instead, but I personally think Airtable looks prettier and is easier to use.
Pros :
- Decide what you want to keep track of
- Inserting links to lolibrary is easy
- Can be used on browser and phone
- Easy to share with friends (after you made it accessible with a link)
Cons :
- Pictures are smaller than in other apps
- Hard to plan a coord without using another app

5- OpenWardrobe (Android)
OpenWardrobe is the latest tracker I've used. What I find really nice about it is the fact that it automatically removes the background, and that you can easily plan coords before linking them to outfit pictures!
You can have separate wardrobes (I also have my casual wardrobe on it, and you can even make specific wardrobe for travels!), but you can decide to mix them when planning coords.
My favorite thing about this tracker is that you can use it to keep tracks of what items you wear the most, when was the last time you wore it, and how much the items cost you per wear.
This is really easy to do by just uploading a picture of your coord and linking every items you wore.

It also has statistics about your wardobe, such as how much of it was second hand, your favorite colours, prints, brand etc.
I really like this tracker because of that, but it also comes with a lot of cons. From what I've seen you can share it only to people who also uses the app. You also don't have any controls on the different categories (type of clothing, colors, style and fabrics), and most of them don't really work for lolita.

The app is a bit messy, and uploading all your wardrobe is tedious because you have to do it one item at a time. Personally, it took me 2 full days to upload all my wardrobe in it.
I also don't like that you can't use it on a browser.
A point that could be fun if you were allowed to tweak it, is that OpenWardrobe comes with an IA that can create outfits. Sadly this AI isn't personalized and you can't enter specifics details such as the type of clothes you want to use etc. so it is shit at coordinating lolita.
Pros :
- Automatically removes backgrounds
- Perfect to plan coords
- Keep track of how much times you wear an item etc
- SO MANY STATS!!
- You can also upload pics from your google drive and from websites (haven't tried it)
Cons :
- If you have a large wardrobe, you will have to put in a lot of work to set it up.
- Not pretty
- Not easy to share
- The app is a bit annoying to use
- No lolibrary link
- No control over the categories
- App only (no desktop version...)

Here are the five ways I track my wardrobe. The three main ones I really use daily are OpenWardrobe, Airtable and Slides, with my preference being Openwardrobe and Airtable (what can I say I love stats and entering as much data as possible).
I really wish Openwardrobe would allow me to create my own categories but for now, I will have to use Airtable for that.
Do you keep track of your wardobe ? If so, what app do you use?
