This week end, I went to Paris to see my mom.
My train was on Friday, and I had just enough time to make it to the
tamagotchi pop up installed in Lyon. It was really cute, and I left with
a few stickers, a nice picture and a ring!
I have a tamagotchi Pix which I love, but this new one is really
intriguing....
Maybe if I have 50 bucks to spare, I'll consider getting
one (even if it doesn't have a camera, which is my favorite feature on
my Pix !)
Saturday was a BIG day!
We started out slow with just chilling and
getting ready in the morning. We had to look for a pyjama as I forgot mine
at home, then we ate at a Boulangerie before meeting up with Camille for
the main event : the museum!
Funfairs seemed to be a
display of science for wonder and awe, and I find it really touching.
But I have to say that my favorite ride is the bicycle carousel!
Everyone has to hop on a huge bike and really fast to make the heavy 1.2
ton carousel move. With 20 riders we reached 24km/h and I have to say,
compared to the usual 10km/h it felt like the fastest ride ever!
After this visit, we chose to eat our mandatory Japanese style crepe at Princess Crêpe. I chose the matcha premium with strawberries, and it was really nice.
We had to wait for Camille's friend (also called Camille) for a little bit, so we just walked around Place Des Vosges. Then, after leaving both Camilles, my mom and I decided to go to the movie to end our evening. We went to see Baise-en-ville, a light hearted comedy about a 25yo who is a bit lost in life and older adults trying to guide him through it. It was fun, moving and quite beautiful. The main character reminded of an old friend, making him really endearing to me.
Sunday morning, we decided to relax and do our nails. I tried pre-made
gel polish, it took just a little less time than when I do my usual gel
manucure so I hope it will last!
We then went to the Museum of hunting and nature. I absolutely adored
the temporary exhibition ( the unicorn, the star and the moon) and left
feeling so inspired!
The rest of the museum is interesting, with tons of art centered around
nature and animals. There are a lot of taxidermies, so if that's not
your thing maybe skip this one.
Then, we tried a virtual escape game : you have a virtual reality cask, and have to solve puzzles together. My mom tried it at my sister's Bachelorette's party and loved it so she wanted to go again. I was sceptic at first, but it was better than I thought and had a lot of fun! After that, we ordered take in and chilled at home in front of a movie.
So yeah that was yet another parisian week end, I hope you liked reading about my adventures and see you soon
