Last sunday, I went with Lucie and Camille to the Musée de l'Imprimerie to visit the Ghibli themed exhibition. There were actually quite a lot of people, and the museum was a bit too crowded for my liking but I still really appreciated it.
It was centered around Ghibli's movies, and showed both what inspired them, and what they inspired in turn. I really liked how it was set up, with some choosen scenes from each movie and some related works. I guess I recommend it even tho it's not purely Ghibli centered.
We also visited the rest of the museum, which is centered around the evolution of printing techniques and has a ton of archives, from very old books to old advertising. We even spotted books and objects from our childhoods, which is always fun!
The weather was very bad, especially compared to how warm it was at the beginning of April, so we waited in the museum for the sun to come back and hurried to a place where we could eat. I was really craving chocolate, so we first decided to go to Ikone, but as usual the place was crowded and we didn't expect to have a tabler before closing time, so we went to another café called Pimprenelle. We've been there once before, for a large meet, and I barely remembered it so I was happy to try it again. I had a hot cocoa and a chocolate lava cake, both were really good. Camille and Lucie had a speculoos (biscoff?) cheesecake and a caramel/peanut tiramisu, but I forgot to ask them if it was good.... I just thought they were a bit smaller than I expected for the price.
As the sun came back again, we decided to go to the Hotel dieu (an old hospital turned shopping center) to take Instax pictures. Camille also suggested we take group pictures, and I love the results! It was just really fun.
As I'm still doing my rainbow challenge, and I am still in the reds, I decided to wear my little red riding hood appliqué again. You can't see it cause I kept my capelet the whole day, but I think I made the straps a little too long for it to fit me perfectly. I'll have to adjust that.... I paired it with the blouse the vendor sent with it, my handmade cherry capelet, my lovely Metamorphose socks and simple red shoes. I wanted something a bit simpler than last time but got more random comments.... What I found particularly annoying were the Little Red Riding hoods related comments such as "Beware of the wolf! Where is your Grandma? "and such because.... Well... that was the theme of my coord so I could see where they were coming from.....
Headdress and capelet : handmade , blouse : unknown taobao,
bag : Loris, Jsk : Btssb, socks : Metamorphose, shoes : Sosic
Anyways! This exhibit was a very nice way to pass a cold and rainy day, and if you're near Lyon, I would recommend it!
